This fin works in every type of board that you can put it on from old school single fin shortboards, mid lengths, performance longboards, logs, and anything else with a longboard style fin box in the center. Due to the wide stiff base and the moderate rake in the fin it is very drivey and solid in all sizes of waves. The medium flex in the tip of the fin make it responsive when turning and gives you that subtle forgiveness that you need in a fin. My reason for buying this fin in 9" this time was to use it on a 9'0" 2+1 racy longboard meant for waves ranging from ankle high to double overhead.
