I live in Newport,CA & surf mostly the finger jetties. Beach break with Mostly fun snappy peaks. I have been using this exact product on my other board for over a year. I love the traction & extra control. I just recieved my new custom 6'2" & made the mistake of buying another brand traction pad. I surfed on the new board + the "other brand" traction pad and was so use to this Gorilla grip that My back foot slipped off my new sweet board a few times....I went home looked at my old board & realized my error. I removed the lame traction pad from my new board (hair dryer to heat the glue + resin friendly Goo Off) & I am now anxiously awaiting the delivery of this specific pad from the other side of the country. I wanted the color black & it seems local shops don't carry this exact brand/style. As far as I can tell its the Aztec technology + lower tapered bar at the back that I like so much. FYI I hate slipping and tend to go heavy wax as well.......
