everything was good about this product except for the mounting brackets. needs improvement for vehicle crossbars that are more that 3 inches wide. its "U" shaped brackets had no room for any adjustments for my 3.5 inches wide crossbars. spacing between the crossbars must be approx. 18, 22, 26, or 30 inches apart to install, if you have crossbars that are more than 3 inches wide. my wide crossbars were 24 inches apart (2002 Acura MDX) & did not fit. ended up purchasing YAKIMA rack. it's a same size rack but Yakima mounting brackets are bigger & flat shaped. also, one more improvement needed on Curt bracket is that you have to completely take out all 4 "U" shaped brackets, if you want to take down the rack from your vehicle...
