I really enjoy this board for many reasons.
#1 It's solid. You can tell it's made of quality wood and coated with a durable gloss, which keeps it water tight and keeps it from showing wear as easily.
#2 Low rocker. Meaning it's almost flat. I didn't think I'd like that since the board I learned on had a noticeable curve to it, but I really seem to be skimming farther on my Vic board.
#3 It's got a little more weight to it than the cheap wooden boards. Most people might think that's a down fall, but I'm able to skim with this board even in steady wind. It just doesn't get blown around easily, which I like.
Yes, this board is a little more expensive for a wood board, but it's good quality, it will last, and it can take what you dish out. If your just starting out, maybe pick up a cheap board first, like I did, to see if you're really going to stick with it. If you do, you'll appreciate this board even more when you make the tran......
