I can't use mittens and 5 finger gloves wear out too qluick or crack in the seems. These slide on an off very well and don't show any signs of wear after about 10 times in the water. I have been in 45 degree water and the feel war and are easy to paddle with them on. I notice that there is only three finger grip on the surfboard is normal.
Swimming in 40ish degree wate rin the Northeast and my hands are toasty warm. Great for the winter swimmer/surfer :)
I had to move up from a 3mm glove to this 5mm for the colder waters in the NW,,, the glove was dilivered within 4 days from and the glove looks like it will do the job, The only problem was I ordered size L and my hands were just a little to tight inside of these L size,, so I returned them and re-ordered an XL.
I beleive these gloves will be just right for this cold water and the price is awesome too,, please don't tell others prices migh......
